AspiringShe Women Achievers’ Awards 2019

AspiringShe Women Achievers’ Awards 2019 were concluded in Mumbai recently and saw showbiz heartthrobs like Shama Sikander, Aahana Kumra, Chahat Khanna and Anju Jadhav grace the occasion besides many other celebrities and socialites. The event had a Green Theme which signifies spring season, eco-friendliness, prosperity and Swacch Bharat Campaign.

Awards were conferred upon Women Achievers from across the country in the fields of Nutrition, Sports, Fitness, Arts, Fashion and Entertainment by Major Arvind Tiwari, Patron of AspiringShe and Chief Guest of the event. Few of the Awardees included Ritu Phogat, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Shradha Salla, Bhavna Jasra, Neerushaa Nikhat & senior journalist Rekha Khan.

Major Tiwari, being an ex-Defence Officer, also briefly shared his views about the ongoing conflict between India & Pakistan, its Geopolitical impact and about the neighbouring country being diplomatically isolated to release the captured Indian Pilot.

Saumyata Tiwari, the Founder of AspiringShe spoke in detail about the significance of women empowerment, elaborated on the concept of AspiringShe and future plans of AspiringShe Forum and AspiringShe Magazine. She also talked about the way ahead and informed about their plans to go global in 2019.

Besides recognizing and awarding Women Achievers’, the function also had a panel discussion on Women’s Health & Wellness wherein celebrities expressed their experiences and concerns about physical and mental health of women. The factors contributing to women’s wellness were discussed in details and thoughts, suggestions were shared. Shama Sikander shared details about her struggles with depression during initial phase of her life and also about how she got over it and came on top of life.

This was AspiringShe’s second function in Mumbai and similar inspiring initiatives in Bangalore, Dubai, Singapore & Scandinavia are in the pipeline.
